Ian Wilson is a Nova Scotia–based actor, screenwriter, and filmmaker raised in Scotland, who began his career at the Fort Theatre in Glasgow.
He is best known for his portrayal of Judge Morrison in the CBC series Diggstown (2019–2022), and for his work on the award-nominated documentary Deserted, which he co-wrote, narrated, and appeared in. His screen credits also include the feature film Splinters, along with a range of commercial voice work showcasing his distinctive smooth Scottish voice.
In addition to his on-screen work, Wilson is an accomplished screenwriter. His short romantic comedy Perceptions screened at over fifty international film festivals, and his recent screenwriting work continues to gain recognition on the festival circuit.
He holds a degree from Brock University and an MBA from York University. A former management consultant and project manager, he brings a strong foundation in leadership, budgeting, and delivery to his work as a filmmaker and emerging producer. An ACTRA member, he continues to work across film, television, and voice.
